![]() Of course, you are doing this for the bartering of goods. Make non aggression packs and open your borders militarily to the key factions on your side. Don't ally too early stay independent for as long as you can while building up your corner. Try playing a corner faction on either side. I share your frustration, Ridder Rap, even on Normal difficulty. I agree with Jimmy, even if he is "TheSnake" (wink). The AI definitely seems to be hungry for the player though, which I find extremely annoying. If it wasn't for the movement range reduction, this game would be an incessant Benny Hill chase. I actually haven't been finding it that difficult to prevent enemy armies from running rampant in my territory via the use of the garrison buildings and the watch tower building (I think?) that reduces the movement range of enemies by 15 or so percent in the province. Played every total war since the original Shogun. I always play on normal difficulty and this game has made me rage quit so many times already. AND, it seems they've been programmed specifically to ignore other enemies and make a beeline for your lands. No way to stop enemies from going into march stance and running rampant anywhere and everywhere. ![]() Just the absolute insanity because of the mechanics. So, you have to create a powerful force to blitz the AI and try to take out as many individual factions as possible, then replenish, then continue, and RUN if outnumbered and they are closing in on you. You can't occupy and hold lands like you can in other TW's. The only strategy I've found to combat this is to stay small, maximize food output and minimize food upkeep, create garrison building in every town, keep a small army on ambush near your handful of cities, and rush the opposing factions' lands with a doomstack of some sort. Creative Assembly implies that it will be up to players to push the mythological narrative in the direction of their choosing with the help of some interesting new features.IMHO it's by far the hardest TW. The classic Homeric tales were themselves rendered down into a written format only after generations as an oral tradition. Trouble is that no one knows for certain if the Trojan War actually happened. ![]() Experience history as it may have happened or shape the legend for yourself in this unique chapter of Total War.” “The fate of Aegean civilisation will be in your hands each choice you make will shape the lands from the mythical heights of Mount Olympus to the arid deserts of Lemnos. “Inspired by Homer’s Iliad, Troy will let you forge a heroic legacy in the late Bronze Age, the furthest back in time the critically acclaimed franchise has ever travelled,” developers said today in a press release. A new teaser trailer was released today on YouTube, and is embedded above. Called A Total War Saga: Troy, developer The Creative Assembly say the game will be an historical look at one of the most legendary conflicts in the history of Western literature.
